Backyard barbeque 21st. q?

Im having a casual backyard bbq for my 21st. Would i need to set out tables and chairs for the guests or would it be better to ask them to bring a camping/lawn chair? I know it would be rude to ask them to eat of their laps but i want to make it casual? Any ideas. On a tight budget :).
