Why do they sell bones in stores that can harm your dog?

This will sound harsh but they are sold to make a profit...the bottom line is cash! People buy them as treats to be good to their animal and the companies that sell these bones are in it for profit, nothing more. I commend your thoughts for the safety of your animal and for looking at the big picture...the well being of your dog. These dangerous "treats" will continue to be sold until people discontinue purchasing them. You did the right thing by permanently taking the bone away from your dog!
