Do police have the right to escort people through my property when those people were told not to trespass?

My grandma lives on a landlocked plot of land behind my house. She has easement rights about 4 houses down the road where her mailbox is also at. We had allowed hospice and home health aides to use our driveway and backyard to get out there to help her. A few times, they had tore up the ground (when it's wet. Very swampy here) and we told them they could park in our driveway and walk back. They did that for a while and then decided to start driving in and we told them they had abused the privilege of using our property and were to start using the easement again. We put up a gate at the end of the driveway and a cable fence so they couldn't go around it. Now they say that their boss told them to call the cops whenever they need to get to G-ma's for an escort. Is that legal for the police to provide escort through a private property they have been told to stay off of?
