Tanning in a tanning bed?

okay so i want a tan really bad without sitting in my backyard getting gross tan lines. i tried getting spray tans but those ended up being good only for like one day and then they started looking gross, aaaandd it scarred me sooo much! like i would get in the little booth all naked and be scarred to death to push the little button. i wanna try a tanning bed but i know its really bad for your skin so tthat' something that's holding me back but also im really scarred to get in the tanning bed. idk how hot it is, if its gonna hurt, how bad is it for my skin? can i wear makeup while tanning? do i have to wear little goggle things? do i have to shave my legs and stuff? so yeah im really scarred. help pleeasee! im also going to florida next month, and i wanna be tan! so how often should i go to the taning bed?
