There is a small white string coming out of my incision?

im fourteen and i got the plate out of my femur and i just got the stitches out yesterday but there is a small white string coming out of the middle of the incision and i pulled on it and it didnt hurt but it pulled the skin up and didnt seem to come out, is it just disolvable and hasnt gone yet or is it something to worry about?
