What are some strong girl names?

I'm writing a book that takes place in a fantasy world (no magic!) similar to ancient Sparta, where the society has a heavy emphasis on the military. Originally the main character was a girl named Artemis, but I've had too many people associating the name with either Artemis Fowl or Percy Jackson and now need to find a new name. I'm thinking about Misia (derived from Artemisia) but someone in my family told me it sounds like a disease... What are some good, strong female names that aren't too common?
