Is my stepdaughter gonna be able to walk again after having her femur broken and 7 pins put in?

my stepdaughter was hit by a car and it busted her femur shes had it set and had 7 pins put in shes in a cast for the next 16 weeks and im really scared that she wont walk again itll b really hard on her dad if she doesnt. i dont have much of the details cause shes in a different province but i know its really hard on her dad and i wanna give him something positive to look forward to.
